Z2K’s vision is that no individual in the UK should live in poverty. We believe that adequate income and secure housing are crucial to creating an equal society where everyone has a stable, dignified life and the chance to thrive. Through the delivery of frontline social welfare advice services, linked policy influencing & campaigning, and engaging people with lived experience of poverty (experts by experience), we work towards four aims:
• more people have improved incomes and housing security
• ensuring dignity, fairness, and respect for those interacting with the social security system
• more people are living in affordable and decent homes
• Experts by Experience have a stronger voice in policy development, decision-making, and public debate
Our free, independent advice services address poverty in London through the provision of specialist 1-1 advice, casework, and representation for our clients, supporting them to realise their rights and resolve their social security and housing problems. We support people experiencing structural inequalities as well as poverty, destitution, and homelessness due to the inadequacy and unfairness of social security and housing policy & practice.
