Real Action - Butterfly Saturday Reading School

Real Action is an independent, community-led, specialist education charity with a history extending back to the mid 1990s. Real Action was set up by members of the community it serves.
Real Action runs a volunteer-based Butterfly Saturday Reading School for children aged four to twelve where we support the children from disadvantaged background by teaching them how to read.
We are now looking for more volunteers for our classes. We operate on Saturdays at 10am - 12 noon (Term time only).
Our main centre of operation is The Learning Store, 3 Mozart Street, London W10 4LA while our Saturday School takes place nearby.
We have an adult literacy class called English Express which is a social enterprise project. We use the proceeds from our English Express to provide support to children living locally. We also have an In-School Programme where we go to schools to teach children how to read.
The voluntary post is a good opportunity for anyone who needs to develop skills in presentation, teaching, classroom experience, etc. and will be good on the CV for their future employment opportunities.
