Kongolese Centre for Information & Advice was set up in May 2000 but formalised in May 2001 to cater for the needs of French, Portuguese and Lingala speaking refugees, asylum seekers and BAME communities in Westminster in particular and London areas in general.
The Kongolese Centre for Information & Advice is a register charity its aims to work with and support Ethnic Minority community groups whose English is their second or third language and living, studying or working within Westminster City in particular and London areas through the provision of free generalist advice, information, advocacy, translation and guidance.
The Centre is a Free Community Advice Resource where people from different backgrounds (including refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and Black Asian Minority Ethnic) benefiting from its service provision. The organisation holds Quality Marks in advice & guidance with the Office of the Immigration Service Commission (OISC), Advice Quality Standard (AQS) for casework and representation and it is also an active member of “Council Bar”.
